Meredith & Tiago had a really fun wedding at the City Winery in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. I've DJed at City Winery several times. It has different spaces and this time the reception was in the "Barrel Room," named because of the giant metal wine brewing barrels.
We started the evening with light music while guests were seated for the ceremony in the Barrel Room. It was an intimate space so they didn't need a mic. Afterwards they headed into the bar in a connecting room for cocktail hour and back into the Barrel Room for dinner.
I had met with Meredith & Tiago in downtown Brooklyn a few weeks before the wedding to go over the music for the night. It was really fun getting to know them and it didn't hurt that they had great taste in music. We came up with ideas for the music I played at pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and the dance set.
During dinner I provided mics for toasts. There were two toasts by guests and then the couple gave a short one. After dinner the dancing started and it was really fun. The music ranged from samba and Brazilian pop to hip-hop and r&b. I had a great time. Thank you Meredith & Tiago.
"We are so happy that we had Ben as the DJ for our wedding this past weekend! We had multiple compliments from our guests about how great the music was. Ben knew exactly what types of songs to play, and the perfect times to play them. Thank you, Ben for keeping us dancing all night!!" - Meredith
